Download the DiscreteWavelets Toolbox and save the zip file to a convenient place on your computer.
Unzip the zip file to a place on your hard drive where you want the toolbox to reside.
The zip file will unzip one (large) folder called DiscreteWavelets. Important: Do not
rename this folder or any subfolders inside it!! Several functions will not work if the directory structure is
Open MATLAB R2007a or MATLAB R2007b.
Click on File and then Set Path...
Click the Add with SubFolders... button and then navigate to where you unzipped the

In the command window in MATLAB, type the command rehash and then startup. The second
command initializes some global variables used by the toolbox. If you received a message that global variables
have been initialized, then you are ready to go!
The functions Daub and Coif use the MATLAB Optimization Toolbox function fsolve when finding
filters. There are exceptions: for values 2,4, and 6, the filters are hardcoded into the Daub routine. For values
1 and 3, the filters are hard-coded into the Coif routine. To compute other filters, you must have the Optimization Toolbox installed.
The function HuffmanTree only takes a uniq array that is a cell array.
The third argument idx of the function FiniteFourier is the negative of what it should be.
That is, if you want the starting index to be m, enter -m.
The function Sn() needs to be multiplied by -1.
The folder MyFiles was omitted from the distribution. Click
here to get the file. Unzip this file to the directory
where you installed the DiscreteWavelets Toolbox and make sure to add the folder MyStyles
to the MATLAB path.
