University of St. Thomas Center for Applied Mathematics

Welcome!

Daubechies Functions
Daubechies Scaling Function and Wavelet

Welcome to the Math 316 Webpage at the University of St. Thomas. The links on the left contain many of the tools you will need to complete the course requirements. Header image is images/math316.jpg.

Make sure to check the Class Log page. This page will give a synopsis of material covered, homework assigned, hints, and other useful information for each class meeting.

You will want to visit the Computer Labs page early in the semester and download the Mathematica package WaveletFunctions. The installation is quite simple. The package will allow you to work on the course computer labs on your home computer. All you need is a copy of Mathematica 5.0 or later on your computer. As a UST student, you can take advantage of the University's site license for Mathematica. If you haven't already, you can check out a Mathematica disk at the library for installation.

You will be given a login and a pin number so that you can access the course text.

Please feel free to contact me (my contact information is on the syllabus) if you have any questions.
