Joint Mathematics Meeting in Washington DC

January 2009, The Center for Applied Mathematics had two bright students attend the Joint Mathematics Meeting. Katie McCaffery and Luke Edholm. Katie presented a poster along with a talk titled "Wavelets in Vocal Identification of Great Horned Owls."
Luke also presented a poster titled "The Connection Between Two Families of Polynomials related to the Fibonacci Number Sequence".
